Photography Coursework

For my first photoshoot I was inspired by Cristena Otero, who was my first artist that I researched. I think this photoshoot was very simple and not very successful. Some images were good, however I think I could do better. The lighting in the photo's is not very good and some of the photos aren’t very focused. Due to this I need to work on my portrait photography especially since that is my focus. Over all I like the idea of the shoot and I think it could work very well if I improve my camera techniques and dont rush when taking the photo's. I particularly liked the way that I blended the make up in with the orange as it works well with the theme. I would like to re do this shoot but maybe try it with a different fruit and then change the make up to fit in with that fruit. I may use blueberries and raspberries next because they have a unique texture and I think they will look interesting when blended with the makeup . After that I will then try with bananas so that I have a mixture of different fruits. I plan to cut the fruits in unusual ways and then position then on my models face in different ways. Throughout the shoot I will rearrange the fruit so that the overall shoot stays interesting. This time round I will concentrate more on taking my time with the body paint so that it looks more professional and then I will really make sure my images are in focus and to a high quality.
